Setting up redirection in IIS7 for OWA Exchange 2007

Redirecting Https://servername.domain.suffix to HTTPS://servername.domain.suffix/owa.
Redirecting your default website on a Client Access Server is a fairly simple job, once you have installed the HTTP redirection feature in IIS.
(Servermanagercmd -i web-http-redirect)
Once you have the web^redirecting feature installed you go to your default website in IIS 7 en dubbel click the HTTP redirection feature in IIS.

Sellect the redirection and type /owa in the address field.

And click apply. Couldn't be any simpler isn't it. Your users can now easily access OWA by typing https://servername.domain.suffix/. But what you might not have noticed is that the OWA redirection is transitive on all your virtual directories below the default web site. This means that every virtual directory has now a redirection set to OWA, which as a result will cause OutlookRedirect, Autodiscover, ActiveSync, Etc to fail.

So if you enable redirection on default website, please disable the redirection on all subdirectories.

It will save you a lot of time in troubleshooting afterwards.
